New Forest Festival Preview

With less than a week to go until the New Forest Festival I thought I should share with you what new creations will be joining me and Bartie in Beaulieu.......

ABC Awards

I had more exciting news I had on Tuesday...... I had returned home from a difficult day at work to find the Australian Bear Creations magazine on my doorstep, seeing the ABC Awards were on page 40 I quickly took a look to see who had got through and guess what one of nominee's was my little bear Van Gogh!!!!! Talk about chuffed! I'm so pleased this little guy got through because to me he's very special.

Van Gogh has been nominated in the Miniature Dressed Category

Van Gogh is now own by my very good friend Phil Brand. Phil is a fantastic artist and Van Gogh was based on a drawing of Phil's. Phil draws under the name Bad Man Art.

One show over and prep beginnings for another!

There's no rest for me this summer, after a great day at The Teddy Bear Artist Event and a lovely few days away with my Mum I'm busy planning for the next show on 27th June!

The New Forest Bear Festival is a day not to be missed on the bear collectors calendar! Run by the lovely Julie and Amanda with lots of help and advise from Bartie Bear!
Its a different event with something for everyone, the whole of Beaulieu village is taken over for the day (11am to 4:30pm) there's bears to buy in the village hall, story telling, a teddy workout, games and fun to be had by all, its a special day out for all the family.

Today I'm busy unpacking all the show "stuff", doing some admin, tidying up my very messy desk and planning the next 3 weeks of bears/mice, so please excuse me while I get back to work!

Pottering about in The Lakes

On Friday me and Lex traveled up to the West Lake District for a much needed mini holiday. We stayed in a beautiful little village called Mockerkin, it was such a relaxing time walking the lakes and hills (I couldn't quite manage a mountain!), eating lots, taking long bubble baths and making fires at night! This was my first complete break for the weekend I think since Xmas so it was wonderful to get away from the stresses of everyday life. We stayed in a fantastic self catering cottage called Enzo's Escape, I couldn't rate it high enough, it was perfect!
