Mottisfont

A few weekends ago me and Mum visited my Auntie Val down in the New Forest, it was the start of the good weather so we decided to take a trip out to Mottisfont, a National Trust property near Romsey.

The main reason for our choice of this venue was the exhibition of E.H Shepard's Wind in the Willows original prints, but we found out there was so much more than just the wonderful pictures!

There's trout in this river

The house that had a wonderful history

This horse was made from chicken wire...amazing

The ice house

Toad's caravan
(all around the house and gardens were displays relating to Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad)

Tea and cake in Toads caravan

Its wasn't quite as appetising as it looked

Beautiful flowers in the walled garden

Ooop's Toad's crashed car!

More pictures from the walled garden

"There is nothing--absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."
~Ratty said to Mole

Now what's in this box?! Take a look......

Its weasels!!!!!!!!!! Be careful

We ended our visit with a walk along the river, what a beautiful day in a beautiful place.
