Christmas Markets

Oh dear I'm a bit late with this post, sometimes life gets in the way!

Anyhoo here are a few pictures of the markets, we went to a few...

In the day the handmade market looks like this!

This is some pancake thing with cherries, it has a cool name that I can't recall right now!

There where so many sausage stalls

I didn't try them but Lex assures me they were yummy

Wooden decorations, so well made

Amazing

I wanted this but could not afford it 

The mulled wine was excellent for keeping us warm

Everywhere you turned there was something going on, 

somebody doing something!

This is Smiley Garfield, these two fella's sang some tunes to keep us entertained

We brought home one of these bird house, aren't they beautiful

This was the castle behind the market, very stunning wouldn't you say.

A little break

A few weeks ago Lex treated me to an early Christmas present....

A weekend to Berlin to enjoy the Christmas markets. 

We invited along one of my oldest friends Sian and her finance Lee to join in the excitement.

When we arrived in a cold -12c Berlin our first stop was the famous chocolate shop

Fassbender and Rausch 

this place has to be seen to be believed really but here's a few snaps to give you an idea of what it's like.....

As the mascot of Berlin is the bear there were a few to spot in the city

This was made from chocolate, can you believe it?

Rows and rows of goodies, where to start?

Well with a chocolate volcano of course!

There were yummy slabs

in so many different flavours

So many delicate desserts

Hand made, hand rolled goodness

Here's Sian about to take a bite!

That plane is chocolate too

Did we buy anything you may ask, well yes we did come home with a few things including the BEST hot chocolate mix in the world

As always the show runs on a first come first served basis; I will endeavour to get back to people as quick as possible to let them know if they have been successful in securing their chosen creation.

I also will try and keep the blog updated when items sell. 

For the first 24 hours I have decided to limit sales to one per customer to give as many people as possible the chance to purchase a little one.

 I will be posting on Wednesday 19th December.

• All of the bears/mice/badger/mole are made from upholstery velvet with either ultrasuede or felt paw pads, they have black glass eyes and are filled with steel shot, glass bead and polyester.
• Please note that colours may show up differently on your monitor, I have tried to give the best colour description I can.
• Until the creation is paid for it will remain reserved on the blog.
• Payment is required within 24 hours.
• Please only request a creation if you are serious to enable others to have to opportunity to purchase.

I cannot believe that this year will be my 5th Christmas blog show! I love Christmas and I LOVE getting ready for my Christmas blog show! This year is no exception, I have some cool ideas that I hope to share with you. In the meantime let me share with you my favourites from the past four shows...

Now for some detail:

If you have not experienced my annual Christmas Blog Show here's some details on how it works:

• At 8pm (GMT) I will upload the bears and mice (badger and maybe a mole!) for sale here on the blog
• The show works on a first come first served bases
• As I will only have a small selection available I limit purchases to one per customer for the first 24 hours, this is so as many people as possible get to purchase something. In previous years all the bears and mice have sold before 24 hours
• You can then contact me with your choice, 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc by email or telephone (please note my telephone number has changed to 01528 415833)
• Its really helpful if you can include in the email how you wish to pay (if emailing!)
• I will get back to you ASAP as to whether you have successfully reserved that bear/mouse
• We can then sort out payment by either Paypal or Credit/Debit Card over the phone
• You can find out what time it will be in your time zone here
